Call to Adventure: Odysseus is called to war. He is summoned to go to the battle off Troy.
Supernatural Aid: Athena aids both Odysseus and Telemachus. She gives them courage in the various situations and disguises herself to aid the father and son. She is also the first one to aid Telemachus in the search or his father.
Initiation
Road of Trials: Odysseus goes through many tests and faces different temptations that he must overcome. He encounters with Circe, Poseidon and the Cyclops create new tests and ordeals that he must thrive through upon his journey back to Ithaca.
The Ultimate Boon: The Ultimate Boon is when Odysseus returns home. Unfortunately, he has more battles to overcome at home.
Return
Master of Two Worlds: By clearing out the suitors and passing Penelope's test, Odysseus becomes the master of the physical world. He comes home and regains his kingdom. He also is the master of the spiritual world because of his relationship between Athena and Zeus. Having experienced both worlds, Odysseus finds a balance of both worlds.
Freedom to Live: Odysseus is again King of Ithaca. He proves to live in the moment but restoring peace and happiness to his loved ones.
